Intro to Bird Language

How the birds reveal the secrets of the natural world...

  • 35 Canadian dollars
  • Annapolis Royal, NS

Description

FRENCH BASIN in ANNAPOLIS ROYAL - 9am to 12pm - Sunday August 6th The birds have been allies to our hunter-gatherer ancestors for thousands of years, helping them stay safe from predators. The sensory expansion and integration that comes from the practice of understanding bird language also brought them to a deeper state of awareness and connection. In a time where humans have lost their sense of belonging to the natural world, this ancient state of connection to life around us holds the potential for a truly regenerative way of life. Even in the heart of the biggest cities, the birds are always there willing to teach us deep mindfulness… In this 3hr workshop, YOU'LL LEARN: * The 5 voices of the birds * Basic shapes of alarm * Benefits of bird language for modern humans * The routine of invisibility and belonging The workshop will be a mix of interactive presentation, storytelling and experience. It will provide you with a foundation to start understanding and sensing bird language whether in your back yard, the deep wilderness or the city. This workshop is for adults 19 and up
