Come discover and deepen the art of holistic wildlife tracking on these fun filled mornings of community oriented learning. From Cougars, Bears and Coastal Wolves to Deer, Raccoons and River Otters or even Squirrels, Mice and Voles...there's always a fascinating mystery to dive into. Tracks, trails, scat, feeding signs, scrapes, digs, beds, burrows, hair... We rarely see the animals, yet they are always leaving behind clues that form a window for us to peer into the story of their lives. Facilitated by Arnaud Gagné, founder of Connection Pathways and apprentice to master tracker Jon Young with help from other experienced trackers. LOCATION: We will focus on the area spanning from Witty's Lagoon to East Sooke park. We may also venture into the Sooke River and Sook Hills area. Specific location will be announced each month in the Connection Pathways newsletter, make sure you check the sign-up box at checkout or sign up on our homepage. Over time, YOU'LL LEARN: * Track and sign ID, aging and interpretation * Embodying animals and seeing through their eyes * Ecological Tracking * Trailing animals * Observation and Awareness Skills * And so much more! This Tracking Club is adult oriented. Mature and genuinely interested youth are welcome accompanied by an adult (adult and youth must register and pay). The following policy applies to all events (in person and or online) unless a specific event explicitly modifies it. Overall policy - there are no refunds. Connection Pathways reserves the right to review refund requests on a case by case basis under special circumstances. Under this clause, should a refund be approved, refunds are subject to a administrative fee of at least 20% No refund is given for membership fees or course programs. Registration can be transferred to another person if requested in writing by e‐mail. Due to the application process, Core Mentoring Community membership plans (monthly and yearly) cannot be transferred to another person. For security reasons, all requests for substitutions or transfers must be received via email at least 24 hours before the event with the name and contact email for both the registered and replacement participants. Amendments: Connection Pathways reserves the right to modify the program up to the day of the event. It may be necessary, due to unforeseen circumstances, to alter the program, venue and/or speakers. Regrettably, this means no refunds or credits can be issued in line with the cancellation policy. Change in Date: If unforeseen circumstances cause Connection Pathways to change the date of an event, all participants will be informed as soon as possible and a transfer to the new dates will be offered. If the new date is unacceptable, participants can request a full refund. Cancellation: If unforeseen circumstances cause Connection Pathways to cancel an event, all participants will be informed as soon as possible and a full registration fee refund will be made. In the event of a cancellation, Connection Pathways accepts no responsibility for covering travel, hotel or other costs incurred by participants and guests. Inclement weather: a participant’s ability to attend an event because of weather, while regrettable, is not cause for a refund.
