  • 75 Canadian dollars
  • Clementsvale, Nova Scotia

Description

Fire has always been a part of human life. Things changed for us when we learned to MAKE fire... Now fire is part of our everyday lives in the wood stove, under the hood of the car or at the flick of a lighter. Learning to make fire the old way gives a whole new respect and appreciation for the gift of fire. Firemaking is a survival skill, yes, but I teach survival skills not as an insurance policy against disaster but as a pathway to our ancient roots and a deeper connection to life and our Mother Earth. Come experience this magical ancient skill with me and change your relationship to fire forever! YOU WILL: * Learn effective fire building with only natural materials * Make your own bow drill kit and learn how to use it * Connect with the spirit of fire and it's deeper teachings THIS CLASS IS FOR ADULTS You will need to bring your own FIXED BLADE KNIFE. If you don't have one, Mora knives are excellent, inexpensive and available at most hardware or hunting/fishing stores (see end of photo gallery for an example)
